In addition, to cleaning the leaves up off of the ground don’t forget to keep your eaves and downspouts cleared of leaves.  Having blocked eaves and downspouts can cause ice to build up over the winter months.  The weight of the ice can damage your eaves and if it builds up on your roof it may damage your shingles and/or underlayment causing leaks to occur in your roof.

This is also the perfect time of year for aerating your lawn.  Lawn aeration helps your lawn grow a deep thick root system.  You should aerate your lawn at a minimum of every other year, but we would recommend getting it done every fall.
